1986 Alberg 22 , "Chapter Two"Built in Prince Edward County by Allan Nye Scott, one of the last of the series, hull 283 , sturdily built, bilge dry, hull sound, well looked after, stored mast down each year. VC 17 bottompainted annually. New Harken Roller furling this year with genoa and working jib, both with #6 tape for use on furler. Genco mainsail, 4 years old, with first, second and third reefing points. New mainsail cover. Main sheet Traveller. New stern rail three years ago. New Autohelm 1000. Two engines: 2 hp Honda 4 stroke (purchased 2001), 5 hp Nissan 4 stroke (purchased 2000, little used.) Use of the smaller of the two engines works well for local sailing ,with a screw compression lazarette plug system so the little motor can easily be taken out of the well and stowed in the lazarette (producing a dry lazarette and zero shaft/prop drag underway). Solara VHF radio. Keeble dodger; Autohelm ST30 depth sounder; all turnbuckles replaced 5 years ago; teak toerail and brightwork well sealed and maintained with Cetol; four bronze portholes , five bronze cleats, and six bronze chocks; Barlow winches; complete set of cabin cushions, in very good condition, little used; (Sport-a-Seats™ work well in cockpit.) Battery 2 years old. Solar panel. Internal halyards and VHF cable insulated inside mast. New Keeble boat cover last year, with frame (and previous cover still serviceable). Cradle. Boat sails like a charm, being a smaller version of the Contessa and Folkboat, with a full, shallow draft (3'3") keel. 3200 lbs, 1540 lbs in the keel. 6 knots on a broad reach. Lying Waupoos Marina, Prince Edward Bay, eastern Lake Ontario. Paid: Cdn $7500 1999.
